A dog will be put down after a Jannali man was attacked at Como on January 24.
Sutherland police said two dogs were off their leads at Carina Bay Reserve at 6.45pm when they attacked a Jannali man, 69.
He received cuts and abrasions to his arms and legs during the incident.
Sutherland police were called but have referred the matter to Sutherland Shire Council.
A council spokeswoman said they were notified the next day by the victim.
‘’The dog was a Rottweiler and was surrendered by the owner to be euthanised,’’ she said.
‘’The investigation into the attack is still underway. Some statements have been taken, with further statements still to be obtained from witnesses."
