Shire Elite Cheerleading at Taren Point is one of the most successful in major competitions and now they are seeking new members for 2016.
The next round of try outs for team places is on Saturday from 10am.
Shire Elite Cheerleading owner, Mitchell Lennon, said the club is ecstatic after a successful 2015.
Late last year Shire Elite dominated the national titles in Melbourne.
‘‘We took four teams to compete in Melbourne at the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation Cheer and Dance National Championships and came home with four national titles,’’ Lennon said.
The club has more than 100 athletes as members since they started in 2012.
“Cheerleading is continuing to grow every year in Australia, with over 1100 teams competing at last year’s national championships,’’ Lennon said.
‘‘All four teams were in very tough divisions yet they managed to take home the national title with our open level four team winning grand champions beating over 30 teams, including many from much bigger clubs from around the country.’’
Lennon said the club prided itself on high standards dedication to excellence and helping play a positive role in young people’s lives.
Tryouts will be held at the club’s gym at 7/1-13 Atkinson Road, Taren Point.
