Motorists in Sutherland Shire should expect traffic delays around the middle of the day on Monday during the funeral for community leader and prominent businessman Michael Tynan.
A service will take place for Mr Tynan, who died on February 1, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Miranda, at 10.30am.
The cortege will travel past each of the Tynan Motors locations, including dealerships, service centre and vehicle holding yard, from Miranda to Taren Point, Kirrawee and Sutherland.
A large number of vehicles is expected to take part in the procession, which is expected to take about 45 minutes.
The cortege is expected to leave the church about midday and travel down Kiora Road to the Five Ways, right into The Boulevarde, left into Kareena Road, right into Kumulla Road, left into Taren Point Road and left into Parraweena Road.
From Port Hacking Road, the cortege will turn right into The Boulevarde at the Five Ways, left into Princes Highway, right into Waratah Street and left into Oak Road to return to Princes Highway.
After turning right into Princes Highway at the BP service station, the cortege will pass the head office of Tynan Motors.
It will continue to Sutherland, turning left into Eton Street and past the council chambers.
The cortege will proceed right into Boyle Street and over the railway line to the cemetery.
