SCHOOL is back and parents are trying to ensure their children have the essentials covered.
Here is a practical list of schoolbag essentials:
- A pencil case that is large enough to fit everything in. For primary school children, this may include glue, scissors, crayons and texts. For high school children, this may include calculators, trigonometry sets, rulers and for art students an extra pack may be required for brushes or other materials.
- Plenty of notebooks. Even if you buy lots of notebooks for high school students, you may find yourself needing to buy more, particularly for students in their senior years.
- An insulated lunch box is always handy. Adding a ice pack could help keep snacks fresh.
- A spare pair of clothes or underwear never go astray for small children starting school.
- If the school allows small umbrellas it could be a welcome addition for children who walk or catch public transport to and from school.
- Sticky notes for students needing to make study notes.
- Headphones.
- An age-appropriate dictionary.
- Highlighters and red pens help senior high schoolers.
- Most importantly, the schoolbag should be big enough to fit everything in.
