Maxy’s Party Band has been entertaining St George and Sutherland Shire residents in one form or another for 30 years and is next due to appear on Sunday, February 21, at the Cronulla Golf Club.
Their numbers include those such as Neil Diamond, Elton John, Dragon and Cold Chisel.
Originally the band featured father Peter Maxworthy, sons Brett and Scott, daughter Nicolle and today the new lineup includes Brett Maxworthy as lead vocalist and on percussion.
Brett’s career has seen him perform as a singer, actor and entertainer having started off in the business as a seven-year-old.
Lead vocalist with the group Racheal Woodlands, has been in the industry for 20 years and is also a shire singing teacher.
Lead guitarist and backup vocalist Bruno Geracehas has also had 20 years’ experience playing some with some of Australia’s best cover bands including INXS,
The Maxy’s Party Band will be at Cronulla Golf Club on Sunday, February 21, from 3.30pm and on Sunday, May 15.
