Rockdale City will look to end an up and down month on a high when they host Blacktown City on Saturday night.
The Suns are in third place on the NSW NPL 1 table after seven rounds and face Blacktown on the back of a 1-1 draw against Manly United at Cromer Park last weekend.
It was a good point for Rockdale as Manly wasted a host of good opportunities after Alec Urosevski had opened the scoring for the Suns after five minutes.
It had been a tough week for Rockdale, who were bundled out of the FFA Cup by NPL 2 club Mounties Wanderers last Wednesday night.
A Hristijan Tanoski goal couldn’t save the Suns as they went down 2-1, ending their run at the fifth preliminary round.
Meanwhile, Sutherland face a tough trip to WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon to face Wollongong.
The Sharks suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to Hakoah Sydney City East last weekend to slip to tenth place.
Japanese import Tomohiro Kajiyama had Sutherland in front but three second half goals to Hakoah saw them seal a convincing win.
Elsewhere, St George FC and St George FA are through to the sixth preliminary round of the FFA Cup.
St George FC downed Waverley Old Boys 4-0, while St George FA beat Berkeley Vale 2-1.
St George FA face Bankstown Berries and St George FC take on Marconi in the sixth round.
