Heather Baker of Tiny Tots at Caringbah has been named a finalist in this year’s Australian Family Early Education and Care Awards in the Director of the Year category.
A total of 24 NSW early education and care professionals have been recognised in the awards.
The awards celebrate its 12th year of celebrating the dedication, tireless work and passion of the outstanding leaders and services within the sector.
Finalists were nominated in their respective category by a family member, a friend, work colleague or parents with children in care or a community member.
Ms Baker said she was thrilled at being a finalist.
“This is not just for me, this is for all my staff because without them I wouldn't be able to do what I do – I have a wonderful team,” she said.
“And the children keep me young – I love to watch them grow and develop.
“It is a truly rewarding and satisfying career.”
State winners will be announced May 23 and national winners, June 17.
