A man was taken to St George Hospital after being bitten on the penis by a redback spider, while sitting on the toilet at a Kogarah construction site this week.
The tradie, 21, was using a Portaloo on Civic Avenue, where the spider bit him at about 8.45am.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but a NSW Ambulance spokesman said the man managed to make his own way to hospital for treatment.
He was discharged from hospital yesterday.
As cooler, wet weather begins, people are advised to keep an eye out for redbacks.
