Sutherland stormed to a 5-1 win over Gordon North Sydney in the Sydney Premier League at Hockey Park, Sylvania on Saturday.
The win saw Sutho’s men’s team back up their opening round thrashing of UTS – and showed they wouldn’t be disrupted by the Anzac Day weekend off.
Matt Bennett scored twice with Gavin Bobyk, Brady Anderson and Luke Noblett also getting on the score sheet.
It was another impressive victory for Sutho against a team that finished in the top four last season.
Sutherland will look to build on that performance when they host St George Randwick on Saturday.
Sutherland also downed Gordon North Sydney 3-1 in second grade.
It was a mixed day for Sutherland’s women with first grade going down 4-1 to UNSW.
Alex Noy scored the team’s only goal.
Sutherland won second grade 4-1 over Pohags while third grade won 3-1 over St George.
