The taste buds of hundreds of Sutherland Shire residents came alive at a popular community event on Sunday, May 1.
About 35 food and wine stalls put up their tents at Peace Park,, Sutherland, where businesses exhibited their food for sampling for A Taste of the Shire 2016.
There for tastings on offer included Peterson Wines, Laidan Med Food, Northies, Rudi’s Continental Butchery, Stockade Brew Co, and Kuro Neko Ramen Noodle Bar.
Hospitality students from Sutherland College (Loftus campus) displayed their skills on the day.
Talent scouts from Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules were also there to spot a star chef for next season’s show.
The event was organised by Sutherland Rotary and Dream Doors was a major sponsor.
It supported charities including adolescent counselling service Green Light Movement, and children’s and family support organisations Sylvanvale and Dandelion Network.
