Calvary Health Care Kogarah is celebrating its 50th anniversary with several upcoming community events.
To kick off celebrations there will be a golden jubilee mass of thanksgiving on Sunday, May 22.
On Friday, May 27, Calvary is hosting an art show and awards night.
To mark the milestone year, a photographer competition was launched for professionals photographers and amateurs including school children, to take photos that showcase their community.
The winning photos will be on display in patients’ rooms.
Calvary opened in 1966 on land donated by the Fitzgerald family on their former orchard site, and originally operated as a hospice for the terminally ill.
It provides services in palliative care, inpatient and community rehabilitation and aged care.
