Taren Point couple Margaret and Reg White will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
The pair have lived in the area all their lives first at Oatley for 57 years before moving to Taren Point.
Before retiring Mr White worked as an accountant and volunteered his time as Treasurer to many community groups.
He is also a lifetime member of the North Cronulla SLSC and St George Swimming Club.
Wife Margaret has also been involved in the community over the years.
She was a piano teacher to thousands of students before she retired and still plays the organ at the Oatley Uniting Church.
Daughter Narelle Lucas said they were a formidable force together and a wonderful example of love and compromise.
‘’Their three children, in-laws, seven grandchildren and extended family could not be prouder of them at this special time,’’ she said.
