A pedestrian is in Royal North Shore Hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Banksia today.
About 12.50pm police and emergency services were called to the Princes Highway following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest the pedestrian, a 22-year-old man, was crossing the Princes Highway when he was hit by a Honda Civic.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken hospital with serious injuries, including neck and spinal injuries.
The male driver of the Honda was not injured.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
