Three people have been charged after stolen mail was found during a car search in Gymea on Friday.
Plain clothes officers were patrolling Gymea at 11.20pm when they saw a car parked in Chapman Street.
They spoke to two women and a man inside before searching the car.
During a search they found stolen mail including bank cards, gift cards, bank statements, mortgage contracts, telephone bills and insurance policies.
Police said they also found drugs believed to be ‘Ice'.
The trio were arrested and taken to Sutherland police station.
A Gymea woman, 25, was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, two counts of counts of goods in custody and resisting arrest.
A second Gymea woman, 38, was charged with four counts of goods in custody.
A Burraneer man, 31, was charged with goods in custody and custody of a knife in public.
All three were refused bail.
