For the family of Nick Veljanovski not having any answers is the worst thing.
Two years ago on June 11, Mr Veljanovski, then 28, from Bankstown, vanished when he failed to arrive at his girlfriend’s house.
His family have made several public pleas for help to find him, to no avail.
Several witnesses saw him on a walking track at Bundeena between noon and 3pm that day.
His car was found at Beachcomber Avenue during a search of the Royal National Park the next day.
He told his girlfriend via phone, the day he went missing, that he was in the Royal National Park and needed time to think.
His mother Sylvia said the past two years had been heartbreaking.
‘’People can move on but we can’t,’’ she said.
Last year the family offered a $50,000 reward but despite a few promising leads there has been no solid clues to what happened.
‘’We’re hoping the anniversary will bring the case back into the public’s mind,’’ she said.
‘’Any little piece can help.
‘’One tiny clue might help put the whole picture together.’’
She has a heartfelt message for her son.
‘’I just want to say to Nick that we love him and miss him,’’ she said.
‘’We just want to know he’s safe.’’
Not ever willing to give up hope the family will spend the second anniversary of his disappearance putting up posters where he was last seen.
They have also created a Facebook page,nickcomehome, to help find him.
Mrs Veljanovski is urging people to visit the page, share the posts and download a missing persons poster to put up around the Sutherland Shire.
Mr Veljanovski is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a thin build, red hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a grey hooded-jumper with a black vest, navy tracksuit pants and white sneakers
