Sydney Water is fighting back against graffiti by transforming their drab buildings into beautiful murals.
The Sydney Water sewage treatment buildings at Greenhills Beach were the latest to get a makeover by graffiti artist Sektor from Blackbook Ink.
Sektor spent four days painting the two walls with the image of a koala sitting on a branch looking out to the road.
A lorikeet was painted on the side wall, with parts of the wall breaking through with a view of the sky.
Blackbook Ink Director Brode Compton said they were very happy with the result.
‘’The response from the community has been fantastic,’’ he said.
‘’We painted another project for Sydney Water out at Bundeena a few days after and a lot of people made comments about the koala already of how great it was for the area.’’
