I was born and raised in the Sutherland Shire. I have lived in the Cronulla area for 20 years after growing up in Caringbah, Miranda and Yowie Bay and attending Burraneer Bay Public and Port Hacking High Schools.
I have also been a life long Sharkies fan and longtime season ticket holder, which has taught me that in sport as in life you have to take the bad times with the good.
Over this time, I have had the privilege of benefiting from the local economic environment, having been employed in several industries and companies in the area over my working life.
I have also had the privilege of enjoying the natural environment and its many wonders, from surfing the icnonic beaches of Cronulla and reefs to boating and paddling on the Port Hacking and Georges River and exploring the Royal National Park.
A vote for me in this election is a vote to fight against climate change and for clean renewable energy.
The best way to combat Climate Change is through a prompt and sensible transition to renewable energy such a shift will benefit Australia's economy, employment and future.
A vote for the Greens in this election is a vote for politicians to be accountable, a vote for me is a vote for a federal ICAC and a chance to restore faith in our democracy.
A vote for the Greens in the Senate is a vote for a fairer society.
We as a society need to ensure any tax reform has the burden of taxation spread fairly across all sectors of society.
We need to ensure tax expenditure meets the needs of all Australians.
A vote for the Greens is a vote for the humane treatment of asylum seekers.
The ongoing offshore detention of people without any end in sight cannot go on.
We need a regional solution that engages all our neighbours to ensure our treatment of asylum seekers is humane and reflects the best of who we are and our values.
I believe only the Greens have the policies to address these issues in a fair and effective manner.
