Police suspended the search for two bushwalkers lost in the Royal National Park, late yesterday afternoon.
A woman, 50, and a man, 47, contacted emergency services at about 5.30pm on Sunday June 26, when they become lost while on a bushwalk.
The couple lost their bearings after they left a trail near the Karloo Pools walking track.
Sutherland Police responded to the call and established contact with the pair but could not find them in the dark and difficult terrain.
The couple are well prepared with warm clothing, two mobile phones, a torch and whistle, and had a supply of water. They are uninjured and have lit a fire to keep warm.
Police will resume the search this morning.
