Lara Mulcahy is preparing to star in a new production of Cinderella at the State Theatre, opening on Friday.
Mulcahy, fresh from her appearance as Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables, will star as the Fairy Godmother in the Bonnie Lythgoe production.
The Dolls Point actress will appear alongside The Real Housewives of Melbourne favourite Gina Liano (Wicked Stepmother), Hi5 star Tim Maddren (Prince Charming) and Jaime Hadwen (Cinderella).
Mulcahy is no stranger to audiences, having had the honour of appearing in three Baz Luhrmann films – Strictly Ballroom, Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby.
The production will feature a signed performance on July 6, with the vocal line interpreted into sign language by an interpreter.
There will also be a relaxed performance on July 13 specifically designed to welcome families with children or other family members with special needs.
