While Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was in Hurstville today, Labor leader Bill Shorten was campaigning just a few kilometres away.
Mr Shorten and Labor candidate for Banks, Chris Gambian, received a warm welcome from pensioners at Riverwood Community Centre.
Mr Shorten talked to them about the Coalition’s Medicare indexation freeze for GPs.
He said it could mean practices that bulk billed having to charge patients.
He said Labor was committed to “making sure it’s your Medicare card, not your credit card that determines the level of healthcare you get”.
