Re the article “Writing on the wall for Miranda GP” (Leader, June 29).
Dr Sjarif has been our family doctor for more than 35 years.
I’ve never met a person more dedicated to his job and to his patients.
He was always available 24 hours a day to assist in any emergency at home.
When we were told that this happened by the medical board I was shocked.
Shocked by the way they would treat a medical practitioner with so many years experience like a nobody.
We need our doctor back – let’s make it happen.

I was a patient of Dr Sjarif’s for more than 30 years.
Never at any time did I have reason to question his ability and compassion.
In fact I owe my life to Dr Sjarif. If he had not been a complete professional I would not be here today.
The Medical Council of NSW should hang their heads in shame for what they have done to this good and decent man.
He will be missed by his patients and I wish him well in his retirement.

Dr Sjarif was also our family doctor for five generations.
We are heartbroken not only at his ’retirement’ but also bf the way he has been treated.
A most wonderful caring and thorough doctor you would not find.
It is going to be hard to find another doctor of his calibre.
