Symbio Wildlife Park at Helensburgh and the community’s local Tradies Club have united in a partnership that will benefit families and visitors to the region.
Tradies donated a new mobile Zoo2U van, which will be used to transport the park’s animals to schools, functions and events as part of Symbio’s education programs.
The club also donated funds towards the launch of the Symbio Farmyard Precinct – once the most popular attraction at the zoo since it was built in the 1970s.
Now outdated, it was removed to make way for conservation programs for critically endangered species including tigers.
The new farmyard, which is due to be open later this year will house baby animals including piglets, kid goats, lambs and chickens.
