Two men have been jailed after a violent brawl at Cronulla in January.
The incident happened in front of a bike shop and a pizzeria on the Kingsway, just metres from the police station.
The video went viral and days later Miranda police charged Luke Townsend, 27, with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
Benjamin Cotton, 35, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily hard in company.
That included charges from a fight earlier that night against another man in Sting Bar.
During a hearing at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday Luke Townsend was sentenced to at least 18 months in jail while Ben Cotton will be eligible for parole in October 2017.
Townsend immediately appealed his decision saying it was too severe.
The appeal will be heard next month.
Speaking to the media after the sentences were handed down victim Daniel Ward said he believed they got what they deserved.
He suffered a broken nose and chipped teeth in the fight.
