Four new photographs have been released of Prince George to celebrate his third birthday.
In the photos, taken earlier this month, the young son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge can be seen playing in the garden of his family's country home in Sandringham.
Two images show the toddler standing barefoot on a swing inscribed with the names of his parents, William and Catherine, before he sits on it looking like he is about to smile.
In another photo, the young prince kneels on a rug in the garden with a grin, as he feeds ice cream to the family dog Lupo.
The English cocker spaniel, who has been owned by the family since 2011, also appeared in the first official family portrait of Prince George when he was a baby.
That photograph, taken by his grandfather Michael Middleton, began a tradition by the Duchess of Cambridge to take her own photographs of her children before they were released by Kensington Palace.
However, the latest batch of photos were taken by Matt Porteous, a commercial sport, travel and wedding photographer who has worked with photo agency Getty Images.
In a statement, Mr Porteous said he "really enjoyed the opportunity" to take photographs of the toddler.
"It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere," he said.
"I'm honoured that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday."
The world got its first glimpse of Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, who is third in line to the throne, outside St Mary's Hospital in London in 2013.
He reportedly spent his birthday having a party at his home with friends from his nursery school, and his parents and grandparents.
Kensington Palace thanked well-wishers around the world for their messages ahead of the prince's birthday.
"The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs," a Palace spokesperson said.
"They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday."
