The Engadine Street Festival on Sunday was an incredible success with more than 12,000 people attending throughout the day and over 40 stalls.
The festival which centred on the town square outside the community centre and along Old Princes Highway was expanded into Station Street this year.
The petting zoo put on by Engadine Central Shopping Centre was very popular along with face painting, Hot Potato roaming band and the various carnival rides which included a big slide and mini pirate ship.
At the Tradies tent Symbio Wildlife Park brought along a snake that was a big hit with kids.
The Tradies stage had performances from local schools and groups from the area and provided entertaining performances and music for those eating around the SUPA IGA Engadine barrel seating area.
The dining options were extensive and included German hotdogs, pulled pork burgers, wood fired pizza and the classic sausage sizzle organised by Engadine Rotary.
The festival this year was organised by Sutherland Shire Council in partnership with Essential Community Solutions.
ECS is a not for profit, non-government charity based in Engadine that began more than 40 years ago. The festival was also used as a fundraiser for the programs and services ECS provides in the community with more than $3,000 raised.
