There was disappointment for Sutherland coaches Adam Commens and Greg McFadden in Rio as their respective sides failed to win a medal.
Commens’ Hockeyroos were beaten 4-2 in their quarter-final by New Zealand, a huge disappointment for the Australian women’s side ranked third in the world.
McFadden’s women’s water polo team, the Aussie Stingers, were also eliminated in the quarter-finals, going down to Hungary in a penalty shootout.
