Lift drama was uplifting
It can be a very dull and overcast world at times. But good people can change that in a flash.
Recently my wife was visiting St George Private Hospital when the impossible happened – she dropped her Visa card…..and it went straight through the tiniest gap in the elevator door and down the shaft.
Consternation is a mild way of putting it – but help was at hand.
Jan Brown took control, accompanied my wife down five floors to the basement. There she called on engineer Troy who did what was needed – stopped elevators and with great caution inspected the areas at the shaft base.
And Bingo - Visa card found.
Anyone who has ever misplaced their credit card (and that’s probably all of us )understands that panicky mind numbing feeling we experience at that time.
All fixed thanks to Jan and Troy and those others involved in the rescue.
Many thanks – very much appreciated.

Credit card returned
I would like to thank the young woman who handed in my credit card to Miranda Police! God bless you for your honesty.

Care after crash
I was involved in a accident at Mortdale on the morning of July 18.
I would like to thank the gentleman who assisted me by calling emergency services and for his compassion for which was a very stressful time for myself.
I would also like to thank the Manageress of the Civic Video shop for offering their comfort and of course the emergency services.

Friendly shire folk
I grew up in the shire but moved away several years ago. I recently returned for a day to hold a conference for work, and was reminded what a beautiful community this is. Seems to be always sunny, and it gave me great pleasure to find that it is still the type of place where strangers say hello to each other on the street.
