Update
A youth, 17, handed himself into police at Miranda last night over a stabbing at Kirrawee railway station after CCTV images were released to the public.
Police charged the youth with wounding with intent.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Sutherland Children’s Court today (Tuesday).
The incident occurred just after midnight on Sunday when a man, 43, left a train at Kirrawee Railway Station.
Police will allege the man was standing on the concourse to the station when he noticed a younger man urinating on a ticket machine.
That man allegedly approached him and the two became involved in a physical altercation.
It’s alleged the younger man produced a knife and stabbed the older man a number of times.
The armed youth fled the scene with a second man who was nearby.
The victim of the attack has been released from St George Hospital.

NSW Police have released security images of two men they want to speak to after a stabbing at Kirrawee station.
The first man is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, about 20 to 25-years-old, of average build, with short, dark spiky hair. He is shown wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20 to 25-years-old, and of large build. He is shown wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, black jeans, black shoes and a black hat.

A man, 43, was stabbed a number of times after leaving a train at Kirrawee station.
He is in a stable condition in St George Hospital after the incident, which occurred just after midnight on Sunday morning.
A police spokesman said, after leaving the train at the station, the man noticed two unknown men nearby.
“Police have been told the man was standing on the concourse to the station when he noticed one of the men urinating on a ticket machine, before that man approached him,” the spokesman said.
“The two became involved in a physical altercation, when the unknown man produced a knife and stabbed the 43-year-old man a number of times.
“The armed man fled the scene with the second man who was nearby.
“The injured man returned home and attended Sutherland Hospital a short time later where he was treated and transferred to St George Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.”
Officers from Sutherland Local Area Command are looking for a man over the attack.
