Motorists can expect changed traffic conditions on the M1 Princes Motorway in mid-September during essential maintenance work.
Roads and Maritime Services advises the work will be carried out between the Princes Motorway interchange at Waterfall and the Princes Highway at Bulli Tops.
The NSW Government has allocated $200,000 for work to improve safety and reduce future maintenance costs.
Work to be carried out includes road repairs, repairs and clearing of drains to improve storm water runoff, vegetation clearing, litter collection, repairing and replacing guardrails and line marking.
The M1 Princes Motorway will be closed in both directions between 8pm and 4am from Sunday, September 11 to Thursday, September 15, weather permitting.
Detours suitable for light and heavy vehicles will be in place via the Princes Highway from Waterfall to Bulli Tops.
Motorists are advised the detours will add around 10 minutes to journey times.
Electronic message signs on the side of the road will advise of detour routes and any changes to work dates and times.
