Driver left crash scene
To the woman driving the small white car along Forest Road, Peakhurst, on Thursday, August 25 just before 10am.
I was on my way to St George Hospital for an ante-natal appointment and was driving the car in front of you.
When the car in front of me indicated to turn right I naturally slowed down to accommodate this but as you were travelling far too closely behind me you did not have time to react and you slammed into the back of me.
Which places you 100 per cent at fault. First of all, why did you scream abuse at me?
My initial concern was for my unborn child as I’m 40 weeks pregnant and as you were in the wrong your duty was to come to see if I was alright.
Second, why did you indicate to me that you would pull over to exchange details and when I did so you were nowhere to be seen?
You are in your 40s or thereabouts and should know better. Perhaps you don’t.
Not that you care but my child is OK. Unlike my car which will now cost me the excess on my insurance of many hundreds of dollars. Not what I need at a time like this.
My family are lucky that we will be OK because sometimes these things don’t end well. Which is why we have Skye’s Law.
Please think about your actions in future and how you drive because the consequences can be devastating.
If anybody witnessed this accident I would be most grateful to hear from you.

Road rage ‘gutless’
Warning to all women drivers in Arncliffe do not have a motor vehicle accident on Forrest Road.
No matter you may be in shock, distressed or god forbid hurt the only assistance you will receive are cars driven by testosterone charged men screaming abuse at you because you have blocked a lane of traffic.
This was the experience I received on Saturday afternoon, August 27.
Of course it did not occur to these fine examples of manhood to offer assistance of any kind - no less than four different cars in 45 minutes drove past our situation and while I applaud their dexterity in driving, winding down a window and screaming abuse, all at the same time, it never occurred to these neanderthals that the vehicles would not start and could not be moved in any direction until two tow trucks arrived.
While myself and the other two women involved were more than capable of taking care of ourselves – and yes guys we do know the importance of moving a car to stop a massive traffic jam – It is disappointing that some young men are so full of rage and impatience the only help they can offer is their appalling conduct.
Even the tow truck operators said our experience was common in Arncliffe.
Perhaps if they spent less time on polishing their wheel trims and pumping their sub-woofers they would see how pathetic and truly gutless they appear.
