Two-year-olds should be playing in the park not sitting in hospital but that’s what Jai Kenny Griffiths is faced with after being diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma.
This is a rare form of cancer only found in children and every year 40 children in Australia are diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, which has a very aggressive treatment.
It is the leading cause of cancer deaths in children under 5 with a 50 per cent survival rate.
Jai is only in the early stages of his treatment, with a long road ahead for himself and his family.
Hayley Reid is a single mother of two and is doing her best to support Jai and his sister Keira and has been helped by friends and family who have been fundraising so she does not have to worry about money and can solely focus on helping her little boy beat cancer.
Jai’s 3rd birthday party, family fun day and fundraiser is being held at Cronulla Sharks this Sunday, September 25, from 12pm to 4pm.
