The rain couldn’t dampen celebrations at the Lugarno Spring Festival on Sunday.
While numbers were down on previous years thousands still braved the rain for the event.
The line dancing crowd attempt was one of the highlights with 130 dancers taking to the floor.
There was also the classic car show, medieval combat performance, live performances and music acts.
Festival committee member Ivan McKay said the carnival was again one of the crowd favourites.
‘’Our carnival is the biggest in the state outside of the Royal Easter Show,’’ he said.
‘’It’s always a crowd puller.’’
He thanked Georges River Council as the festival’s largest sponsor.
