Changed traffic conditions will be in place over the next few weeks on Alfords Point Road between Georges River and Brushwood Drive, Alfords Point.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokeswoman said asphalting would be carried out as part of the road widening project.
The work would take 12 shifts, and was expected to be completed before Saturday, October 15, weather permitting.
“Work hours will be from 7pm to 5am each night to minimise the impact on motorists,” the spokeswoman said.
“Work will be staged in different locations to minimise the impact of noise on residents.
“Changed traffic conditions will be in place for the safety of workers and road users including southbound lane closures.
“Motorists should follow the direction of traffic controllers and allow extra travel time.”
