Recognition: The Jannali High School student Kathryn Murray wins an award for student excellence.
The Jannali High School student Kathryn Murray was one of 13 students honoured with a 2016 Minster’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement at a ceremony at NSW Parliament House.
The award recognises achievements in the secondary school years with particular emphasis on achievements in years 11 and 12.
As school captain, Kathryn was recognised for high standards in leadership, academic excellence and the service of others.
She provided strong advocacy for her peers through her active participation in the Student Representative Council, and participated in community events including Night of Excellence, 2015 NSW Education Week Launch, Sutherland Shire Anzac Day Dawn Service and the 2016 Nanga Mai State Aboriginal Education Awards.
