Lust and love collide in the enthralling new show, Illicit Tonic.
A number of years in the making, a magic show unlike any other will be performed at the Red Rattler in Marrickville tonight.
Illicit Tonic will dazzle and delight, with the wide-eyed wonder of Cirque du Soleil and the wicked thrill of a titillating striptease.
Incorporating groundbreaking illusion, thrilling circus themes, sensual singing and bawdy burlesque, the show has something for everyone.
So much more than magic and misdirection, Illicit Tonic tells the classic yet enduring tale of boy meets girl, highlighting the inherent complications and confronting struggles of all-consuming love and a wandering eye.
At its core Illicit Tonic is a test of the human psyche, challenging the audience with the question, How would you feel?
The show is voyeuristic, confronting and raw.
Patrons will be taken on a psychological journey.
The show begins from when you walk in through the door.
The very sensuous Betty Bang Bang (burlesque performer) awaits at the door, elegantly dressed, as you are given a choice between whether you want the naughty or nice prize.
What follows is mind blowing magic, breathtaking dance, sensual circus and beautiful burlesque.
The show features the fastest illusion ever created, Anthropy (Houdini’s Metamorphosis).
Illicit Tonic, the brainchild of David Dodgen and Kimberly Bear.
