St George and Sutherland Shire community services united for a common cause to mark National Carers Week on October 16-22.

A total of 40 carers from Sutherland Shire Carer Support Service, Kogarah Community Services and Georges River Lioness Club partnered for a high tea to celebrate the community event.

Carers Week acknowledges the important role that carers play.

Sutherland Shire Carer Support Service has developed a Resilient Carers program that provides unpaid carers with advice on how to deal with the stress and difficulty of caring for a loved one.
