Gerard Beale and Jason Nightingale have been included in New Zealand’s squad for the Four Nations tournament in the UK which starts later this month.
Beale, who celebrated helping his Cronulla Sharks side to win their first premiership on Sunday, will be joined by veteran St George winger Nightingale in new Kiwi coach David Kidwell’s 24-man squad.
It is a strong looking New Zealand side which will including joint Dally M winner Jason Taumalolo, Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson and Sydney Roosters pair Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Shaun Kenny-Dowell.
New Zealand also have two significant absentees in Kieran Foran and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
Australia play Scotland in the competition opener on October 29 (AEDT), with England taking on New Zealand the following day.
The final is at Anfield, Liverpool on November 21 (AEDT).
