The annual St George Migrant Information Day will return to Rockdale later this month.
Hosted by Advanced Diversity Services this year’s theme will be Connecting Communities.
The free event has been going for more than 20 years and gives migrants an opportunity to meet representatives from community organisations.
They will be dozens of stalls providing information on health, housing, employment and immigration.
The free event will also celebrate the diversity of the area through dance, music, art and cultural demonstrations.
Advance Diversity Services Manager of Settlement Services Mariam Hii said hundreds of people are expected to attend.
“The event brings the community together and welcomes newly arrived migrants by providing useful information to assist with their settlement in Australia, as well as showcasing the rich diversity of the community,’’ she said.
The day is sponsored by Advance Diversity Services, Bayside Council, Georges River Council, Navitas English, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, Kogarah Community Services, Sydney NSW, MTC Australia, Lifestart and Riverwood Community Centre.
