St George will host Western Suburbs at Hurstville Oval on day one of their two-day, round four fixture on Saturday needing a win to kick start their season.

Saints suffered a four wicket loss to Mosman at Allan Border Field last weekend after Mosman made 6(dec)-291 in reply to St George’s 156.

Nathan Ellis (2-66) and Eric Denhartog (2-43) were the pick of the bowlers for St George.

Mosman skipper Scott Rodgie sent St George back in, with Saints 4-128 at the end of play.

Chris MacDougal made an unbeaten 57 in Saints’ second innings, with Darius Visser 27 not out.

The defeat left St George equal last with three losses from the opening three rounds.
