It was a big weekend for local clubs at the Football NSW Champion of Champions tournament on Sunday.
More than 400 players turned out across 18 finals at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood for the annual competition that crowns state champions across a number of divisions.
Sutherland Shire Football Association club Marton Hammers won the over-30s womens title for the second year in a row when they downed northern beaches side Wakehurst FC 1-0 in the final match of the day.
Amanda Duncan scored the only goal of the match just before the half hour mark after some good build up down the left from Katrina Faulkner.
Marton goalkeeper Kylie Gandy had kept the Hammers level when she made a good save from a toe-poked effort after 13 minutes.
Elisa Stewart was menacing for Marton on the right wing, using her speed to get past her defender and deliver a number of crosses in the first half before twice going close to doubling the Engadine club's lead early in the second half with a goal line clearance saving Wakehurst.
Marton controlled most of the game and held off a late Wakehurst charge to secure the title.
Meanwhile, St George Football Association club Hurstville City downed Epping Eastwood 2-1 in a heated over-45s mens final.
Minotaurs goalkeeper John Chatzis prevented Hurstville City from falling behind in the first minute with a scrambling save to deny Ian Dunn.
Hurstville’s former NSL midfielder David Barrett pulled the strings in midfield and gave his side the lead from a deflected effort after 25 minutes.
Eight minutes after half-time and the Minotaurs had doubled the lead, with a Nick Plataniotis header from a corner putting them 2-0 in front.
Scott Grinham hauled Epping Eastwood back into the match with a spectacular effort but Hurstville survived a late onslaught to be crowned champions.
It was also a successful day for Cronulla, with the Seagulls winning both the under-14s girls and over-35s mens titles.
Cronulla’s under-14s girls downed Avalon FC 4-1, while the over-35s men beat North Sydney United 4-0.
