Local stars will help make up one of the potentially fierce new rivalries in the inaugural National Netball League competition when the Giants Netball host the NSW Swifts in the opening round.
Netball Australia confirmed this week that the NSW sides would face off in the opening round blockbuster at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on February 18.
Former Swift championship winner and Australian vice-captain Kim Green has switched sides, with the Miranda local linking with the Giants for at least the first two seasons of the competition.
Australia under-20s and Sutherland Shire product Toni Anderson will be a teammate of Green’s.
Meanwhile, another Shire product, Abbey McCulloch, will return to the Swifts again this season.
