Three people, including a former staff member, have been charged after a Beverly Hills hotel robbery earlier this year.
About 1.40am on Monday, September 26, police were called to the hotel on King Georges Road after reports of an armed robbery.
Police were told two men wearing face coverings and armed with a knife and firearm had approached a male staff member, 29, after he’d closed for the night
Police were told the men threatened the employee and walked him back inside the hotel where they demanded money from the safe. A short time later the pair fled the scene with a large sum of cash.
At 7am today detectives from Strike Force Duffield executed a number of search warrants in Grafton and Port Macquarie.
During a search of the properties, officers located ice, cannabis, and other items that were seized for forensic examination.
Three males were arrested during the search including the staff member, who police believe had been complicit in the planning of the robbery.
Police believe the trio had also been involved in the distribution of ice and cannabis across the Grafton area.
The the former staff member was arrested at a Port Macquarie home and taken to Port Macquarie police station where he was charged with aggravated break enter and steal, five counts of supplying a prohibited drug, four counts of knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, conspiracy to supply a prohibited drug, and knowingly directing a criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court today.
A second man,29, was arrested at a Grafton home and taken to Grafton police station where he was charged with aggravated break enter and steal, five counts of supplying a prohibited drug, three counts of knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, conspiracy to supply a prohibited drug, and participating in a criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear in Grafton Local Court today.
A boy,14, was arrested at a property in South Grafton and also taken to Grafton police station where he was charged with aggravated break enter and steal, supplying a prohibited drug, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in a criminal group.
