The Shire Woodworking Club has been hard at work in recent months preparing gifts in time for Christmas.
The club, based at Lilli Pilli, give away hundreds of toys and gifts each year.
On Monday, the club did a big handover giving away 123 gifts to three different organisations in time for Christmas. These organisations included Sutherland Shire Family Services, John Franklin Christmas Lunch, and Kingsway Community Care.
About 35 to 40 members contributed to the project including a friend of one of the club members, Barbara Taaffe, who donated 29 knitted dolls and animals.
In addition to the latest giveaway, the club has donated about 1000 toys to Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick this year.
Gifts the club create and make include dolls’ beds and cradles and a variety of wheeled toys like cars, train engines, trucks, and planes, among other toys.
