The Lugarno Evening VIEW Club is urging people to help disadvantaged children by donating to the The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal.
The appeal, is aiming to raise $3.6 million this year with funds going to help children get the extra learning and mentoring support they need.
Club President Adele Persi said they were very proud to be supporting the Christmas appeal.
“We know that education is a pathway out of poverty and The Smith Family’s learning support programs have proven highly effective in boosting the educational outcomes of disadvantaged children,’’ she said.
“Supporting The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal is a wonderful way to help disadvantaged children get the extra learning support they need to catch up and keep up at school.
“In the spirit of giving and sharing this Christmas, we urge the community to support a disadvantaged child’s future by donating to The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal.”
