Cyclist charged after woman knocked over
A cyclist has been charged after an elderly woman was hit while walking in Sutherland in July.
Sutherland police said the woman, 71, was walking south on Toronto Parade and started crossing Acton Street about 8.30am on Saturday, July 16, when she collided with a cyclist.
He fell from his bicycle while the pedestrian was taken to hospital with a fractured pelvis and other internal injuries.
The Woolooware cyclist, 46, has been charged with riding a bicycle negligently and will appear in Sutherland Local Court on January 19.
