Driver appears in court after Danielle McGrath death

David William Edward Grice, 59, appeared in court on Thursday morning for a brief mention.

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death over the November 8 collision.

Ms McGrath, who was from Illawong and attended Menai High School, had been living at Caringbah.

She was walking to the station on her way to work when she was hit on a pedestrian crossing by a truck Mr Grice was driving.

He did not enter a plea during the court proceedings.

His matter will next return to Sutherland Local Court on January 31 though he won’t be required to attend.

Bail will continue.
