Community groups across the Bayside Council area are being encouraged to apply for $1 million in grants through the Stronger Communities Fund.
Under the program local not-for-profit groups will be able to apply for grants of up to $50,000 as part of funding given by the State Government as part of the local council amalgamation process.
The funds are in addition to the former councils existing community grants programs that delivered around $180,000 in the last financial year to groups in need.
Funded projects must deliver social, cultural, economic or environmental benefits to the local community and address an identified community priority.
Applications are open with funding decisions to be finalised in March.
Council will also host an information session on February 2.
Registration details about the application process and the dates of information workshops is available at haveyoursay.bayside.nsw.gov.au.
