Miranda police have released security images of a man they want to speak to after an armed robbery in Miranda last month.

About 4.50pm on Friday, December 30, a man approached a business within a shopping centre at Miranda, armed with a firearm.

Police allege the man threatened a staff member and demanded cash, before leaving the scene on foot.

He was last seen walking towards Wandella Road.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, and approximately 170 to 175cm tall.

He was wearing a black and grey hooded jumper, black pants, and a black cap.
