Driver trapped in accident at Como
A man was trapped for more than 45 minutes after a two car accident at Oyster Bay Road in Como this morning.
The accident happened around 7am in front of St Joseph’s Church.
The road was closed for more than an hour as firefighters from Sutherland and Engadine worked to release the driver, believed to be in his 60s.
He was finally freed and taken by ambulance to St George Hospital where he was treated for extensive injuries. His condition is unknown.
The other driver, aged in his early 40s, was taken to Sutherland Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
