Mystery man leaves $100
When we were shopping at Lowes for return to school uniforms, we were commenting about the fact that the youngest would be starting high school with all hand-me-downs.
As a grandmother I commented that we should buy at least one new item. I was vetoed.
When we arrived at the counter to pay we were told that a gentleman who did not wish to be thanked had left $100 at the counter for us to assist in the cost.
My grandson’s thought that we were being pranked as no one ever does things like this for us.
It is nice for him to realise that there are people out there who care for others.
The gentleman should know that we immediately added a new shirt to our list.
Many thanks for your kindness we will endeavour to Pay It On.

Broken arm after fall
I would like to thank Colin from Barden Ridge who picked me up after a severe fall on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge on Friday, January 27.
He went out of his way to drive me home to Menai after I fell heavily on the footpath.
I am now nursing a broken arm (in three places) and a black eye.
A very neighbourly thing to do, thank you so much Colin.

Australia Day spirit
Big thanks to all that helped myself and my five-year-old daughter at Cronulla after having an accident on our bicycle on Elouera Road.
She is fine (typical), I’m a bit banged up.
But it was great to receive such genuine help on Australia Day.

Lost glasses salvaged
I would like to send a big thank you to the person who hung my glasses on the fence at Penshurst station.
I had got out of the car, they dropped on the ground, I only realised when I got to my destination, I went back and there they were on the fence.
